  | | | | Eva Montealegre I explore the terrain of my psyche and the topography of our existence when I’m painting. I use oil plus various materials like plaster, acrylic & different metals on canvas. I often add patinas to metal and metal paint. I use a palette knife as it best captures my energetic expression. The human figure, animals, or the natural world can become symbols of transformation and expression of my spirit’s journey. Any subject has the potential to be personified or abstracted.
